Sunnybank Inn dates from 1840 and is a rare example of Italianate Victorian architecture. It was the home of ballad singers Jane Gentry and Maude Long in the early 1900s. The building has served as a private home, a boarding house, hiker hostel, and retreat center. Sunnybank Inn currently serves as a hostel for Appalachian Trail thru hikers.
